I’ve had more jobs than the number of times the earth has circled the sun in my lifetime. Each of my fingers represents a different country I’ve called home.
I write to untangle the noise and nuance of life. You can find me peering into the cracks that most people step over.
Writing allows me to explore the human need to feel a sense of belonging and mattering.
I write about relationships, memoirs, life experiences, trauma, feminism, social justice, animal rights, health and well-being, psychology, personal growth, running, living a childfree life, and many other topics.
I believe passionately in raising others up. Kindness is my superpower, but don’t mistake this for weakness. I may be as sensitive as a hummingbird but beware of rousing the resting grizzly bear sleeping within my core.
I will cry genuine tears if your writing touches me, and I will also beat my drum to your war cry. Above all, I want to build a connection with my words.
If you believe in kindness, please come and write with Spread the Ripple, my kindness publication here on Medium.
I’ve spent years contorting my mind and body to fit other people’s expectations. An enigma to some, a pioneer to others.
I’m always too much of one thing or not enough of something else.
I rarely fit in.
How many of us listen to the whisperings of our souls and follow our yearnings? It takes courage to go against social norms and choose the unbeaten path.
I know the loneliness of being on the outside, and I understand the comfort a sense of belonging provides.
