Welcome to Day 20 You Charming Crocodiles

My omnivore friend relayed a frustration she experienced with one of her “vegan” friends.

My friend invited her guest around for dinner. Her guest graciously accepted and clarified she was now vegan. My friend rose to the challenge and went out of her way to learn a new recipe and buy-in ingredients she wasn’t familiar with.

When it came to dessert, she presented vegan ice cream to her guest and nonvegan ice cream for herself.

At this point, her guest reached for the non-vegan ice cream and stated she preferred it, so took extra scoops to suit. Knowing full well it was not vegan.

We are all at liberty to eat what we want and define ourselves however we please. There are no rules. But when it affects others, when our words and actions are inconsistent we may raise heckles.
