Welcome to Day 27 You Snuggly Seals

I look back on some of my life experiences with outrage and guilt. I would never intentionally cause the suffering of another creature. Yet, I’ve been in positions before, which I would not put myself in now.

That said, some of my memories, I cherish and I would happily repeat.

One of my most precious memories is swimming with wild dolphins in New Zealand. I accept there will be some who argue this was unethical.

We were not allowed in the water if there were any calves in the pod. This was an indicator to me that the welfare of the dolphins was, quite rightly, a key factor. We were also advised not to try and touch the dolphins, but to respect their space. If the dolphins wanted to approach us, they would. But we should not reach out to them.
