If you cut down your calories and increase your exercise the chances are you won’t fuel your body adequately so instead of losing weight you will gain. Your body will go into fat saving mode because it worries it won’t have adequate fuel to exercise.
But if you fuel appropriately for exercise including an increase in protein your body will be like “oh, this is cool, let’s use our fat stores and put on lean muscle so we can get this shit done and exercise efficiently”
I know it seems counterintuitive but it’s not as simple as calories in and exercise. How patronising do I sound. You can block me if you want 🤣 I just want to see you succeed 😀
