I think this is an interesting one and I don't disagree. I think women do most the judging. But I think men uphold and create the "rules."

For instance - the male demographer in the UK who wrote a piece in The Times about why we should tax people without children.

Also folk like Elon Musk who keep pushing and pushing everyone to have more children and pedals (irresponsibly) that the world is under populated not over populated.

And then there is the Catholic Church, led by a man who pushes folk to reproduce with impunity and shames those who choose not to have children.

So yes, I completely agree that women do the judging, but I think men do the performative utterancing.
