The opportunity cost of parents not being able to hang out with their friends because of their children. Yes, that absolutely happens. This is tough for BOTH parents and non-parents. And when you are the only non-parent in a group as all your friends have had children it can be extremely tough and isolating. There is a lived experience of both parents and non-parents here.
Opening the refrigerator and food that you wanted to eat isn't there? If you are talking about living in poverty or not having enough food, this isn't limited to the parental experience. Poverty affects people from all walks of life, non-parents and parents. Similarly, not all parents experience poverty. So this is not a universal parental experience.
