How Time Is the Kindest Gift You Can Give
I have spent thousands of hours helping others find happiness through running. Some of this time is via businesses, but most of these hours are with voluntary organizations.
Ironically, I ran out of time to answer the November Spread the Ripple prompt on “time.” 🤣
Time weaves through our lives inconspicuously until it’s too late. When the sand runs out, what do we wish for?
Weekends with friends come to an end; deadlines draw near, loved ones return to their overseas jobs, and souls expire.
If only we had more time.
Time heals our wounds and bonds us to others.
According to this article, it takes 30 hours to make a casual friend and up to 50 hours for a friendship to emerge. Good friends require 140 hours of time investment. But it’s not until we spend 300 hours with one another that best friend wings metamorphose into the world.
If only we had more time!
But if we use our time wisely in the first place, perhaps our remorse over lost time wouldn’t be so painful and full of sorrow.
