I appreciate this story. I have never wanted children and luckily I can live my life with this truth and not have them. But the stigma of not having children is vast. We often lose friends, are othered and shamed, made to feel less than and simply not counted or included. It’s kinda peculiar how many people have such an issue with choosing not to have children. But you know who normally have the issue - the type of parents you describe. The ones who have a sort of “I had to do it, so, so should you” sort of attitude. Misery loves company!
