I covered her comment in an article I did on pronatalism. Basically her daughter commented “why do you have to work on the front line? Why can’t it be someone else who doesn’t have kids, so if they die it isn’t as bad” the fact the doctor repeated this comment multiple times shows her lack of understanding of how wrong it is. She wouldn’t have repeated it if the daughter had mentioned any other group based on age, gender, ethnicity etc as she would have recognised the wrongness of it, but she thought it was ok to effectively go along with a notion that parents lives are more important than non-parents lives 🤷🏻‍♀️
