I think the child was 14. I don’t feel the child’s is to blame. They are still learning. It’s the way the Doctor didn’t pick up on how wrong this was and shared it publicly including in her book I believe. This was an opportunity for her to educate the child about life and ethics and no one life being more important than another. But the Doctor missed this and clearly didn’t see the damage of perpetuating this sort of idea by repeating it out in the open. I guarantee she wouldn’t have repeated it if the child had said “old people” for instance. Because we know that’s august and quite frankly wrong. The lines with pronatalism are deeply fuzzy and people don’t even realise it! 🤷🏻‍♀️
