I write passionately about being childfree by choice. Your piece here was very balanced, not critical on either side.

I don’t think there’s a wrong or a right in general. But I do think there’s a wrong or right way for an individual.

It is right for me not to have children. For other people it’s right that they do.

I feel it is so very important to showcase that our purpose isn’t just surrounded by our reproduction. Like you I have volunteered, pursued interests and hobbies, built communities, dedicated time to great connected friendships, travelled, studied … the list goes on.

Someone may find their purpose in kids, that’s ok, as long as they don’t say all the ridiculous comments to those of us who have opted out - you know - you’re missing out, you won’t know love …
