It's something I have been thinking about alot, as this is one of the biggest "bingos" in the childfree community. "You will regret that".

No one tells me I will regret not being a dolphin trainer, or a mountaineer, or a medic. No one tells me I will regret not eatting as many crackers in a minute as I can.

But so many people tell me I will regret not having kids.

To regret something in the first place, it has to be on the cards. It has to be a possiblity. I don't want children. I have never wanted children. So it would be insane of me to have kids INCASE I regret it later on in life.

It is funny how perfect strangers feel it is ok to tell me I will regret something. Imagine I turned around and told them they would regret having children! It is simply unacceptable!

Sounds like you triggered some people with your article. Projection. There are many people coming out saying they regret having children. And that is ok.
