Oh I loved reading this. I feel your trip home has reaffirmed a few things for you.

I with you also, I used to exhaust myself visiting folk. Now when I go home, folk can meet me half way or come to me. I can’t dart all round the country. It’s interesting when folk fall silent when you suggest they visit you.

I think we have always been the ones to go to others so folk are baffled and confused when they are asked to extend the effort and energy. Some do, many don’t. And it’s ok. It’s telling and helpful.

It sounds like this is a new chapter in your life. A slightly tweaked mindset and a focus on building a future.
