Oh I've heard this too. People think this is such a flex. It certainly doesn't make us go "Oh yeah, good point. Now I will go and have a child, that doesn't already exist and that I don't want becuase what if my parents hadn't had me."

It's really simple. I think the childfree may be the least egotystical beings. We don't care about our "legacy"!
