Oh Yael! I think you absolutely did the right thing taking the puppy back. It’s been 6 weeks since getting my new adopted pup and it’s full on! I’ve not been able to work, as my head is friend. It’s bee. Really tough. Yes I adore him. But I could not manage him AND caring for an older parent. Hugs
