On Saturday gone, I laced up my trainers for my weekly long run. When I hit the trails and hills I like to absorb my surroundings and listen to nature. When I run on the roads local to me, I often select an audiobook or a podcast and get lost in learning something new.
Dr. David Hamilton joined me on my 25-mile road run. He cooed in my ear about kindness. I have been meaning to go through his books after hearing an interview with him. He penned the term “kindfulness” a mixture between mindfulness and kindness — and I love this.
Dr. David Hamilton brought me to tears with his anecdotes of compassion towards his late dog. He made me laugh with self-deprecating stories. He gave me goosebumps with stories of kindness reframing anger and hostility.
