This is a tough one. We can’t change others. Can you speak to her about it. “It’s hurtful When you take your mood out on me” - using your feelings with “I feel …” sentences instead of “you ..” sentences which sound blameful.

What do you get out of this friendship? It sounds one sided and not particularly nourishing. I’ve been in this position many times. The past few years I’ve done a lot of work on myself - therapy, reading, research. I’m a highly sensitive person, I’ve a complex childhood and I was showing up in friendships giving my world and receiving very little back. It’s exhausting. I am now doing the work and healing. I have consciously lost several friends, some I was best friends with for 24 years. It’s been an excruciating process, but I feel healthier and happier.
