We speak the same language. This blew up on Twitter recently and I wrote about it. The sense of entitlement in others.

“But weddings are about children” - erm, no. They are about the couple!

“This is oppressive to children, you wouldn’t not invite someone based on their age, or race” - very weird take for sure. Trying to explain that grandparents or friends with different skin colours are bonafide guests.

Of course there’s the cost issue. When many of my friends got married no one had kids. If I were to have a big wedding and include the same guests, numbers would be doubled and it would be a crèche.

I could go one. You may like my piece. Although you write about it far more eloquently.
