Which makes it a societal issue. Mothering is seen as the norm. It's romanticized. It's an expectation. Whereas, perhaps it should be something that we are educated about and if we really, truly want to participate in it, we opt in, as opposed to opting out. Of course, that is based on the proviso that we can opt in. This is where it is extremely difficult for the childless. Thanks for adding to the conversation. :-)
